Who Are These Guys? Meet the gang from the Lunar Antics comic strip! Zeno, Zed, Linda, and Drusus are inhabitants of the moon who just love to hang out here on Earth. Because it's not enough to be superior to all Earthlings, their mission is to make sure you know that they are superior to all Earthlings. But don't let these moon people steal the show because it's really about us! Bob Walters has created an interesting universe where long-lived Lunar inhabitants interact with earth creatures, mostly humans in the person of "The Professor." The results provide an "out of this world" view of life on Earth...All in all, not only very entertaining, but thought provoking at the same time. I enjoyed it. It was well worth the time spent reading. .-- George Smith “This book is fantastic for adults and kids alike. As I
said, my daughter has yet to put this book down and loves the humor behind it
all!” I have been a fan of The Lunar Antics for some years and was delighted to
discover the new book, Boy, I'd Hate to Be Made Out of that Stuff was coming
out. Imagine the search for extraterrestrial life being answered by an alien
walking up and saying, "Like Beep!" Thus are Zeno, Zed, Linda, and Drusus
(inhabitants of the Moon) introduced to Professor Jones. The comics in this
volume poke fun at everything from love, politics, advertising jingles, and
alien invasion movies. In one of the Sunday strips Zeno describes how they would
take over the world by becoming politicians, running up massive deficits, and
making the humans fight each other until the Earth could be taken over without a
fight. The Professor asks if they aren't already following that plan and Zeno
states, "No, those are self-inflected wounds." To me the mark of a great work is
its ability to raise questions and I have used a number of the Lunar Antic
comics in my university level history classes in order to encourage discussion
among the students. The Lunar Antics never fail to make me think and laugh. I
highly recommend Boy, I'd Hate to Be Made Out of that Stuff to anyone who enjoys
a good thought provoking laugh. This book has it all, life commentary, poking fun
at us all, and just plain old laugh out loud funnies. Have read this comic
for a couple of years, nice to have it all in one book. A good entertaining
read. -- L. Verity I'm glad I spent some time with the Lunar Antics because I had fun reading
this book . . . it is an amusing strip that kept me entertained on every
